Be a person that remembers. Remember trends in your career, similarities, and facts about the people behind the diagnoses.
Be a motivator. Give of yourself. Give your energy during a visit, and between.
Provide a Solutions Oriented Medical Experience (SOME), not a problem-oriented list. People know that they come to you needing help…give them something that they can do to ACTUALLY help themselves EVERY visit; and something that YOU have done to help them as well.
